Weapon demonstration
Get up close to Viking weapons and experience the camaraderie of warrior life at Denmark's best-preserved ring fort.
Discover how Viking weapons were used in battle and get your hands on replicas of swords, spears, and axes. Hear about Viking weapons and how the warriors fought. Try on some chain mail and consider whether an arrow could pierce it.

Participants: Maximum 30 participants, but we are happy to divide the groups into several teams.

Where warriors fought over 1,000 years ago.
Viking Fortress Trelleborg was built at the end of the 10th century as a mighty defensive structure, and it was soon put to the test. A few years after its construction, the castle was attacked, and the great battle of Trelleborg was fought. Clear traces at the site bear witness to the warriors' battle – the discovery of weapons, skeletons with violent battle injuries, arrowheads shot into the ramparts, and Denmark's only preserved Viking shield. Here you can see, hold, and try out the weapons of the Viking warriors for yourself.
