In 2023, the Viking fortress of Trelleborg and the country's four other ring forts—Borgring, Nonnebakken, Fyrkat, and Aggersborg—were added to UNESCO's World Heritage List. The ring fortresses are recognized as unique examples of Denmark's rich history, telling the story of the Viking world.
Free ride
Throughout the season, you can take a free bus from Slagelse Station to Trelleborg. Bus 909 runs every hour from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. It returns from Trelleborg half an hour later.

The shop
Take a part of history with you
In the museum shop, you will find items that tell the story of Trelleborg and the world of Viking warriors. Find replicas of jewelry made based on finds from the site and other Viking sites, or be inspired by Viking-era craftsmanship. Discover your inner Viking and take a piece of history home with you.
