Gather the group for a journey back in time. At Harald Bluetooth's ring castle, tales await of power, courage, and the Vikings who united Denmark.
Group trips to Trelleborg can be tailored to your group in terms of activities, length, and duration. The tour begins with a look at the authentic objects in the exhibition and then moves on to the reconstructed longhouse. Around the campfire, the story of Harald Bluetooth, his Viking warriors, and the Vikings is told. The tour then continues to the UNESCO monument itself, where you will see the impressive ramparts and gain an insight into Viking-era construction.
Practical information
Arrival
Upon arrival at the museum, the bus can stop close to the entrance, where there is time for the shop and toilets.
We meet at the entrance of the Vikings and offer guided tours at customized walking distances, lengths, speeds, and possibly in smaller groups.
Duration
The long castle tour is approximately 2 km long and lasts one hour.
The short tour begins in the museum exhibition and then continues to the old longhouse (approximately 350 meters), where you will be seated and told a good story around the fire.
The path is solid, and it is possible to visit the longhouse with a walker.
Please contact us with any special requests, and the guides will take them into account and adapt the tour to your wishes and pace.
Food and drink
You are welcome to bring your own food and drink and have a picnic at the outdoor tables or in the longhouse.
Please contact us if your group would like to have lunch at the museum. Café Trelleborg is not open all year round. It will be possible to purchase fresh coffee and delicious cake.
Price for tours
Weekdays:
- DKK 900 for a 1-hour tour
- DKK 1,250 for a 1.5-hour tour
Weekends and public holidays:
- DKK 1,000 for a 1-hour tour
- DKK 1,350 for a 1.5-hour tour
Add-ons
- Mead tasting: DKK 50 per person. Keep the Viking cup for DKK 75.
- Viking snack: DKK 25 per person
- Coffee and cake: DKK 85 per person
Duration of mead tasting: approx. 30 min.
